 Angel of the Month

At the entrance to the lovely Parc Montsouris, a majestic bronze angel seems to stand guard atop a Corinthian column.  Sculptor Jules-Felix Coutan’s 1887 Armed Peace Angel spreads its colossal wings protectively, posing with an elegant swagger as a banner twirls about her. In the early morning November light, we can still see the moon hovering in the sky.
