Our Restaurant of the Month

Photograph by Entrée to Black Paris

With a façade so nondescript that it doesn’t even inspire a glance as one passes by, and a location so far off the beaten tourist track that one has to make a special effort to get there, what does Esens’All have going for it?  Follow this link and sign in to the landing page to read our review:  http://www.parisinsights.com/restaurants.php.

Angel of the Month

Author of Angels of Paris - An Architectural Tour through the History of Paris

Floating on elegant wings as drapery drifts around him, a young boy angel waves a laurel branch and carries a carved antique bust topped with an Ionic capital. The work, realized in 1881, is entitled "Sculpture Decorative" and is located at 4, rue Chartreux, a quiet street near the Luxembourg Garden.   Its creator,  who lived in this apartment building, was Louis Villeminot, one of the finest ornamental sculptors of his era.  (Metro: Notre-Dame-des-Champs)

What a joy it must have been for him to return home each day and see his own beautiful sculpture here!
