November 2006 - Homage to Man Ray

Man Ray was perhaps the best known photographic chronicler of the lives of artists, writers and other creative spirits in early 20th century Paris. Finding common cause with Parisian artists of the Dada movement who had come to New York, he left the U.S. for Paris in 1921. Though he sought recognition as a painter there, it was his camera that would make him famous. The following walk celebrates his life by visiting his old haunts and recalling his remarkable career.
